The Cadence is a vast collection of tomes, each bound in beaten iron, with pages crafted from stretched demon skin. These personal accounts document the numerous battles in which Gruumsh participated, often as a leader. Prior to becoming a Higher Power, Gruumsh was constantly on the move. Sadly, many of these tomes were lost along the way - left on battlefields, hidden in forgotten places, or stolen. The series comprises 114 books, with the final volume detailing Gruumsh's clash against the goblin god Maglubiyet.
