The Cresting Vats are primordial devices built during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). They are water motes, mobile rifts used for transferring troops to distant systems. These devices come in pairs, with one permanently fixed on Cresting Spires and the other located elsewhere. On Bal-Kriav, the vats in the High Wood Country are collectively referred to as the Springs of Sehanine.
