Deathguard Plate

Deathguard Plate is a highly protective +5 full plate or superior suit of armor that grants immunity against the debilitating effects of life drain. This formidable armor is crafted from the fused, demoniac bones scavenged from the ruins of Valefor. The armor's defensive capabilities are further enhanced by the addition of green, metallic scales harvested from the legendary dracolich known as Hurguulich.

Drog'paagol crafted the inaugural suit of Deathguard Plate. It was forged during the era when he had mortal commanders overseeing his legions of undead. As time progressed, and Drog'paagol's malevolence intensified, he came to perceive his mortal commanders as a weakness due to their need for sleep, sustenance, and other mortal necessities, so he transformed them into vampires. These commanders became known as the Deathguard Generals. The dispersal of these Deathguard Generals across the realm through various schemes and missions of Drog'paagol resulted in a dozen or more suits falling into the possession of others, languishing in vaults, or becoming lost to some dark place.
