The ever-burning embers known as Torches of Gludragh are found exclusively within the Gludragh region. They are formed from imperceptible strands of mystical energy that emanate from the Cube of Arcane. This energy occasionally infuses rock with a lasting magical essence.
The Torches of Gludragh exhibit a seemingly permanent magical enchantment, as none have ever been known to extinguish. They possess remarkable resilience, beyond the abilities of an inexperienced practitioner to dispel their arcane properties. When subjected to a powerful effect such as Mordenkainen's Disjunction, the de-magicked torches release a backlash of energy. According to web weavers, this magical energy originates from the Web of Magic. During a Belras Foroderch Experiment, a Torch of Gludragh was intentionally destroyed for research purposes. The disjunction spell used to de-magic the torch resulted in a tendril of energy that nearly killed the grand wizard of Belras Foroderch and drained much of the spell potential from the attending participants.

The torches of Gludragh are a highly coveted discovery due to their scarcity and function as an ever-burning illumination. Predominantly, they are exhibited in private spaces or, when displayed publicly, safeguarded by traps, guards, or both. The prices for these torches fluctuate significantly, ranging from 100 gold pieces for a torch-sized variant to a staggering 5,000 gold pieces for those rivaling the dimensions of an ogre. The latter are truly majestic in scale, capable of sufficiently lighting a spacious palace chamber or church.
