Type civilization lore

The diverse array of races inhabiting the realm, along with their varied differences and alliances, gives rise to a multitude of laws. The following outlines several of the more intriguing statutes of the land:

Closed Gun Ports

This is a law enforced across most expansive empires of the realm, particularly those frequented by sky and voidships. The statute mandates that gun ports of ships must be sealed upon entering a city's airspace (typically an area extending 2,000 yards from the outer walls). If a vessel lacks coverage for its gun ports, it must block all cannons and await an escort into the city.

Ivory Sanctity

This is a statute of the Ivory Asylum Empire. Within the domain of this realm, it is prohibited to extract ivory from deceased elephants or engage in poaching. Ivory is forbidden in the empire in any incarnation, save for its natural state. The punishment for poaching is capital punishment by means of hanging, drawing, and quartering.

Giant Specification

The Harknori authorities enacted this law following the city's occupation by a horde of diminutive demons. Entrenched in dwellings and cramped warrens, the elusive demons successfully staved off Harknori's giants for half a year. After the demons were ultimately eliminated, Harknori passed legislation mandating the demolition of all existing structures unsuitable for giants, with all future constructions required to adhere to giant-sized specifications.

Map Restrictions

In the Orchish Empire, there exist restrictions on the production or possession of maps depicting the fortifications, city layouts, and subterranean regions within the Empire. Any maps produced must first be approved by the internal security division of the Fograth.
