The Dragon's Anchor is a forge deeply situated beneath the city of Irthorn. The anvils and furnaces of this area were constructed from the abundant leftover iron, mithril, and adamantine materials that remained following the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE). These discarded weapons and armor had been melted down into substantial bars. The Zeymah'kein artificers responsible for building the forge detected a residual magic within these piles. Unbeknownst to them at the time, these items were part of the Covenant's efforts to clean up after the war, disposing of demon equipment and, where possible, removing it from the Mortal Systems. When the materials were repurposed and recast into the forge's implements, they demonstrated a remarkable capacity for absorbing and transferring magic as enchantments to armor and other forged items. An unintended consequence of this process is that the forge has gradually become denser, sinking gradually deeper beneath the city over time. Now known as the Dragon's Anchor, it lies 1,000 feet below the surface, accessible by grand elevators and a canal system for transporting molten magma through the forge.
