Drauglorn is a swamp located in the northwestern region of Taurelin. It was formed when the labor force of a substantial part of Rúmil went to work on constructing a canal to redirect the flow of the river Guirfeint. This was a national endeavor, said to be necessitated by the builders to impede the advance of Rumaktharga (as part of the Second Kizan War). When the water was redirected eastward, the lowlands of Drauglorn transformed into a swampy expanse.
Drauglorn is a patchwork swamp interspersed with numerous winding trails. These pathways weave through the expansive 1,700-square-mile wetlands, their routes constantly shifting, appearing one month and vanishing the next. The primary architects of this ever-changing network are the region's sizable beaver population, whose natural dams and embankments often double as muddy thoroughfares for passing travelers.
