The rugged, mountainous region of Hlothram lies along the western edge of the Dragon Wall. This area is distinguished by its glistening blackness, a consequence of the abundant obsidian found there. However, the prevalence of obsidian diminishes its value as a gemstone. The largest structure constructed using Hlothram Obsidian is the majestic Palace of Nine, while the second largest is the ominous fortress of Birungrith.
During the Horgon Era, Zeymah'kein's military, the Imrithil, constructed a network of forts, towers, and walls where rugged crags meet the Dargirth. This formidable defensive system, known as the Hlothram Bildrun Rigevoth, spanned a fifty-mile line with over five hundred fortifications, most of which now lie in ruins. The structures were meticulously crafted using basalt, obsidian, and lava stone, designed to withstand the onslaught of demon invaders emerging from the realm of Valefor.
