The Burterinii, a powerful Tragaran tribe, established the settlement of Ing-Serold. When they formed the Kingdom of Burterinii, the Burterinii family became its inaugural royal dynasty. Ing-Serold was designated as the capital city of the kingdom.

In the year 999, the town of Ing-Serold succumbed to the forces of the First Khazarkar Empire. On the date of Gulimbor, the armies of the Burterinii were overwhelmed, concluding the Conclave War which had raged from 995 to 999. Most of the city's inhabitants fled across the channel to the settlement of Hargul, where they remained until they could be transported to the newly established communities along the northeastern coasts of Ma'Ohari.

The ruins of Ing-Serold are situated in close proximity to the shores of the Sea of Mourning. Situated north of the ruins is the mighty Agallurân River. As the city lacked a coastal harbor, this river's expansive southern delta functioned as the primary port for Ing-Serold. The immense stone portals that granted access to the city's riverine harbor remain intact to this day.
