The sinkhole of Moregar, forged during the Horgon Era by unsound mining procedures, possesses a gaping mouth spanning fifteen miles. Its terminus lies either 2900 feet underground, situated within the Drarthiel region, or ascends to the surface, encircled by the Gwaeldior Forest and its elven inhabitants.
Moregar has long been a haven for underground raiders seeking to plunder the surface, as well as a hub for illicit logging operations. The most notorious of Moregar's raiders are the Kuo-toa slavers hailing from Shoglomph.
In the Bone Arrow Campaign (1467 - 1470), the Black Tide constructed nine formidable fortifications along their Black Athroond Road. Though now overgrown and dilapidated, these ancient strongholds continue to serve as common hideaways for beasts, brigands, and vile creatures.
