Pharminul is a misty bay situated to the east of Khirrêth. For as long as anyone can recall, the bay has been perpetually shrouded in fog. This persistent fog is a consequence of the stark temperature contrast between the unnaturally frigid region of Ice Cap and the temperate zone of Cinazan, combined with the warm currents of Erethor. This temperature differential also contributes to the stormy conditions that characterize the area. Pharminul is home to numerous hidden shoals and reefs teeming with marine life. The bay's waters are relatively warm, only growing considerably cooler as one approaches the towering ice walls of Rimac-Malc.
Pharminul is home to hundreds of Water Archons and storm archons. It is believed they are migrating to this region from a periodically opening rift leading to the Cresting Spires.
The tomes of Draguron indicate that the region's chaos archons were summoned during their conflicts with the goliath, and that one or more portals may exist within the ancient aquatic ruins of Pharminul. When the Khazarkar Empire began colonizing Cinazan, these archons posed a constant threat. By the Third Epoch, the archons had sustained such substantial losses that they no longer menaced the land settlements. However, they still present a considerable danger to any vessels traversing the northern waters of Cinazan and the southeastern coasts of Ice Cap.
