At the eastern end of Hullbreaker Bay lies the isle of Hirmolja. A strategic area commanding the bay's two entrances, its foremost stronghold is Sinnauma. Constructed during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), the Nawirrûs Covenant positioned it to regulate the southern, more navigable passage into the bay. It also served to safeguard a shrine, the Pyramid of Anubis, then under construction for a fallen Covenant hero.

With imposing sloped walls seamlessly merging with reefs, an array of unnatural obstacles, Sinnauma has long been a formidable deterrent to those seeking entry into the bay. Considered too costly to directly assault, in recent times attackers targeting Khimilêth, typically from the Khazarkar Empire, have instead opted for a containment strategy rather than confronting this coastal stronghold and its expert artillery crews and cannon batteries positioned along the sloped walls behind movable screens, casements, and longstanding magical defensive wards dating back to the era of the Creation War.

Around the time of the founding of Khimilêth, Sinnauma was seized and cleared of pirates and other threats. Today, in addition to its substantial garrison and formidable war vessels, it serves as the port where experienced sea captains acquire skilled pilots for any manner of navigation into possibly the world's most perilous bay.
