The cloud-capped Storsald mountains lie north of the Galathien Sea, serving as a natural boundary between the Lands of Purity and the wilds of the Northern Hordelands. Named for a band of skilled stone giants who once patrolled the entire range, these peaks were guarded by the Storsald Snaen, ranger protectors who fought against the evils of the Demon Spawn War on behalf of the Quaratun Covenant from 89 GE to 269 GE.
The evergreens of Kuli-Cir fill the valleys, ridges, and lower altitudes of the Storsalds, long a training ground for hunters. Alongside bands of hill and stone giants, numerous Goliath tribes call these mountains home. The more unpredictable threats of the region include the cannibalistic Malmor, griffons, blue dragons, and undead remnants of the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486).
Storsald is home to numerous grand fortresses and crumbling remnants. Three of the most renowned are Ebonstar in the southeast, the subterranean Outpost Prime within a dormant volcano, and in the western region stands the Hall of War known as Hunters Kit.
