Taraspuc is a smooth and, in some areas, glassy mountain pass located in the northern region of Urkthal. The area gained renown during the Horgon Era. In Year 1180 HE, sensing his impending demise and unwilling to be desecrated by a people he despised, the black dragon Ikhenholmbrac flew eastward. As he crossed the Urkthal mountains, legends claim that in one final display of immense power, Ikhenholmbrac expelled a torrent of acid, rendering the long-hated and treacherous Taraspuc Pass so smooth that carts could now traverse it unhindered. Since then, further investigation has revealed a more intricate narrative, with the naga of Hazarâph orchestrating a campaign to enhance Ikhenholmbrac's legacy. They disseminated the tale of the events at Taraspuc, hoping to maintain their privileges by claiming that Ikhenholmbrac would one day return.
