The towering sea cliffs of northwestern Izagunbar are known as Tilgas Umata. They form the northern edge of the Jakorek mountain range. This region experiences harsh, inclement weather, bearing the brunt of storms emerging from the Buccaneer Archipelago and the Salzârrâk Sea. Due to the turbulent conditions, numerous shrines and even sizeable temples dot the cliffs, all dedicated to the sea god Poseidon. The area is also home to a fair number of lookout towers serving the interests of the Ivory Asylum.

The cliffs of Tilgas Umata rise to a dizzying height of four miles in certain areas, sheer and unforgiving. While sheltered havens can be found to weather storms or evade pursuers, the plunging cliffs that descend into the waters below offer no such refuge. In the sunken grottoes and sea caves, Scrag and sahuagin ferociously contest the abundant spoils, as ships blown against Tilgas Umata's unyielding walls are then pounded into the depths by the mighty waves of the Pearl Sea.
