Ukhilgam is a sea cliff located on the northwestern edge of the Clans. It was formed during the Demon Spawn War, when the primordial Ingu'lumin opened his second rift to Chaos. The collapse of this unstable rift created the great sinkhole Zurukthûr, triggering powerful earthquakes that caused a 120-mile section of Narbuzad's western seaboard to crumble into the sea. The resulting piles of rubble made the area nearly impassable, except for crustaceans and sea spiders. The coastal seabed was blanketed with boulders and rocks for 4 miles. Over time, this sea area of jumbled rocks evolved into a rich reef and a bountiful fishery for anglers out of Spirachiln and Grimmarsveinn. However, the abundance of prey has also attracted a large number of predators to the area, including harpies, wyverns, sharks, and other terrors on the wing and in the depths.
The towering cliff walls of Ukhilgam overlook the Nielalroch strait, their height varying from a few dozen to a few thousand feet, reflecting the undulating terrain behind them. Though the area teems with predators, it is also abundant in riches. The cliffs are speckled with rubies and veins of platinum. Some have ventured to scale the heights to extract gemstones, while larger operations have constructed descending structures with cranes, mining shafts delving into the depths of Unaraggumak to follow the precious veins.
In the year 544, the Daklode city Lokumord came under assault by organized bands emerging from Ukhilgam. These raiders comprised a motley assortment of races - goblins, orcs, ogres, hill giants, and even some dwarves. It soon became clear that these attackers were under the thrall of a harpy's enchantment. They were far too well-organized and commanded to be under the sway of individual harpies, prompting the dispatch of a force to gather intelligence. The few who returned reported that a harpy queen named Sehkmora was the leader, possessing far greater power than a typical harpy, with a priestly connection to Graz'zt and overwhelming charming abilities. This conflict with Sehkmora became known as the First Harpy War. To date, Daklode has waged five wars against the harpies and malcontents of Ukhilgam.
