In 1822, Fort Hellstorm was assaulted by a voidship raiding contingent in the service of Deep Six. Four void destroyers, Rhinoheads, and a Void Hammer-class battleship bombarded the keep for six hours. Fortune favored the landing parties. On this day, the true master of this remote fortress, a Dragon Headmaster named Drog'paagol, had elected to hold his hand, allowing the Orchish Empire garrison, which he reluctantly served, to fend for themselves.
The garrison was devastated, and the fortress was subsequently pillaged. Upon descending into Nir-Madyin, a clandestine underground government-funded facility, they encountered an army of the undead. Fifty elite soldiers were slain within five minutes, each one rising to battle their former comrades as an undead entity. The assailants hastily retreated to the castle's upper levels, planting and detonating explosives along their path of withdrawal.
On hearing the lack of assistance from Drog'paagol, Monty the Mad ventured to the smoldering ruins. From his aerial stronghold, Avalkhirân, he notified Drog'paagol that his services were no longer required, and that he was being expelled from Nir-Madyin.
How dare he command a Dragon Headmaster, a title far more esteemed and venerable than any he or his master shall ever possess.
