First Orchish Civil War

The First Orchish Civil War ensued after the defeat of the Orchish Empire in the Third Sorrow Pass War. The Fograth regarded the loss as a blemish on their martial abilities.

Monty the Mad, the supreme general of the empire's armies at the time, blamed the Southern Military District for the loss. He claimed that the south had grown too comfortable with their southern neighbors in Hells Womb, allowing spies to infiltrate and harboring too many traitors within their ranks. While there was truth to these accusations, Monty's true motive for instigating the conflict was to consolidate the empire under three districts. At the time, there were four district commands: the Northern Military District, the Southern Military District, the Eastern Military District, and the Western Military District. It is said that Emperor Blac'drugulois granted Monty free rein in this matter, viewing it as a test of his abilities to lead, and told him, "If you desire the throne, you will need to learn how to control the empire."

The Southern Military District was dismantled and its territories redistributed among the victors, with the endorsement of three divisions of the High Command. Following four arduous years of conflict, the Southern Military District ceased to exist. The Western Military District was subsequently rebranded as the Central Military District.
