Sûreg is situated on the eastern side of the isle of Nurnas-Kam. Around 724, it became a base for Dromite pirates. Concealed in the seaward face of Mount Othidyus, it remained hidden for decades. Growing prosperous and more populous during the Great Exodus (998 - 1017), Sûreg gradually returned to civilization. It became a legitimate trade stop for storing cargo and merchant ships navigating the Buccaneer Archipelago.
In 1704, Sûreg was seized by Paradomea's naval forces. A century of ineffective governance that had become increasingly entangled with the area's pirate groups was supplanted by corporate oversight.
