Abhômaipeth is an empire of beholders founded in the first half of the Horgon Era. It was established by a Zenduram wizard-governor seeking an advantage against a rival. Gizrê, the instigator of the conflict, assembled an army of beholders, giants, and other humanoids. When their leader was killed, the army scattered. The beholders ventured deep into Inzilthôr, where they united under the banner of the beholder Abhômaipeth. This elder tyrant had previously been the right-hand of the Tamlêrran wizard Gizrê. Abhômaipeth, much like his former master, was driven to build a lasting empire under a single ruler. From the capital's depths, he continues to guide the empire, his brain floating in a holding tank that once housed an elder brain.

The colonies of Abhômaipeth are dispersed across and beneath Bal-Kriav, as well as on the lunar body Opulent Eye. Their seat of power, the city of Cytus Pupil, is situated within the Magrâbik region.

The populace of Abhômaipeth is composed of roughly 20% slaves, while the remaining non-beholders serve as subjects to beholder overlords.

In Abhômaipeth, non-beholders possess neither freedom nor autonomy. They are merely possessions, subservient to their beholder overlords.

In the year 1400, Abhômaipeth's forces seized a frontier city of the Tamlêrran people. The spoils of this triumph included several sizable voidships. These seafaring vessels propelled Abhômaipeth's pursuit of interplanetary travel. Additionally, these remarkable flying craft significantly augmented their capacity to launch raids against adversaries lacking such wondrous ships.

In 1470, Abhômaipeth commenced the eradication of the alien infestation on the lunar world of Opulent Eye. This "alien infestation" refers to the holdings of the Tamlêrran and the Giff League. This Beholder threat prompted the Deep Six, Giff League, and Tamlêrran empires to forge the Void Alliance. However, the Void Alliance was defeated at the Battle of 45:12:6, leaving Abhômaipeth in control of the skies over Opulent Eye.

In 1472, Abhômaipeth captured the city Serenor.

The military of this empire has achieved remarkable progress in void technology, a testament to their daring raids on adversary shipyards. Their most formidable class of voidships are the Abhômaipeth Mothership.
