Gûrkimâdda was the designation of a dwarven military force that served under Danzar-Khâl during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). After the conflict's conclusion, the Gûrkimâdda were tasked with safeguarding the Malurn Region. As the population of Meshond grew, owing to the army's families and those transitioning to civilian occupations, an order was established to maintain martial expertise and the principles of defending the citadel and its surrounding lands. This order assumed the name of the military force that had once served under Danzar-Khâl.
The original Dwarven Defenders emerged from this order. Over time, the training methods to become a Dwarven Defender have disseminated from Meshond to Brucrumus and potentially even as far as Karterus.
