Galathrellach is one of the Ice Cap Isles within the Nautrek sea. Similar to the Isgofnel isle, it is a distinctive bluish-white mass of peculiar ice. These peculiar icy islands are extensions of the Ice Cap region. The ice of the island is not ordinary, unlike that of the Ice Cap; it is infused with energies from the Cube of Arcane, causing it to melt at a significantly slower rate.
Galathrellach is home to several small towns that have emerged as centers of fishing and mining. The mining operations in the region are independent of any major power, a result of past conflicts involving state-owned mines and the subsequent deployment of Blackjammer and Batthurâk troops. In 1755, the Galathrellach Agreement was signed, prohibiting any state-owned enterprises or garrisons from operating on the island. Today, the local business interests are largely autonomous, with some state support in place to counter monopolistic tendencies.
The island possesses a substantial abundance of Ice Cap shards concentrated around the island's central region. This locale also contains exceedingly frigid mines that descend deep where they intersect veins of Lapis Ice.
