In 1722, a twelve-ship pirate fleet, the Blackjammers Marauders, was swallowed by a Warp Whirl. The fleet was transported from the tropical waters of the Buccaneer Archipelago to the chilling coasts of Ice Cap. Facing unfamiliar lands and scarce ships to plunder, the pirates established a stronghold in the deep fjords of the Iberaks, naming it after their indomitable captain.
By the year 1800, Blackjammer had blossomed into a thriving trade port where the spoils of piracy were openly displayed. By land, they conducted business with the Brisingr. Blackjammer's water-borne trade extended to Tamlêrran, settlements along the Core Sea, or up the Jhernarth River to the goblin city of Nemebhox.
