In the First Epoch, their territory encroached upon and facing superior military forces, orcs were compelled to relocate from Hells Womb in what became known as the Arduous March (1041 - 1096). Over numerous years, their foreign commander and his githzerai counselors trained them in the ways of war, hoping to also instill greater discipline and adherence to civilized statutes. When this approach proved exceedingly sluggish, a determination was made to pursue a more forceful strategy.

On 15 Temporal 1048, a band of orcs from the Grashakh Region underwent a process known as Energy Exchange. They were refashioned to align with the vision of their leader and future emperor, Blac'drugulois. Under their employer's close supervision, githzerai scientists from the Zisi-Nul swapped each orc subject's innate entropic energy for its Negative Entropy counterpart. This followed the methods of Githyon from millennia prior, leading to the creation of the Githyanki and Githzerai. The transformed orcs were dubbed the Githirmil, a gesture of gratitude from Blac'drugulois to the githzerai laboratory staff. Thereafter, the orcs were educated, disciplined, and retooled.

The Githirmil are concentrated in the Grashakh Region. They differ from typical orcs, possessing an intelligence and wisdom comparable to the Tragarans. Similar to regular orcs, they are warmongers, cunning, and frequently employ brutal tactics.

When Blac'drugulois established the Orchish Empire, war colleges and training facilities were constructed in every city. Blac'drugulois also standardized the Orc language, rendering it more succinct and less guttural, resulting in the language known today as High Orc.

The notion of altering these orcs and modifying their behavior was once considered unfeasible, yet eight centuries later, we now have the Githirmil.
