Ayaraigas Bone Walkers were crafted by the deity Benevolence. He constructed them from the discarded husks of colossal stone spiders that once served the primordials during the Creation War. These immense spiders had been a persistent annoyance to him and his workers while they erected the Vaults of Ayaraigas. Those destroyed specimens were repurposed into spider-like automations, which were then utilized as mounts or for hauling equipment and supplies. When the Nithians emerged from their temporal stasis and departed the Vaults, they employed Ayaraigas Bone Walkers to commence their voyages.
One of these spider-like automatons came into the possession of the lich Katrana. She customized it for her malevolent ends, transforming it into an instrument of devastation. This altered version became known as the Bone Walker of Desolation.
The Ayaraigas Bone Walkers exhibit a wide range of sizes, from that of a sizable spider to colossal proportions. The larger specimens are equivalent in stature to a 15 HD stone golem, while the truly massive ones are on par with a 20 HD golem. The largest of their kind can even rival a 25 HD stone golem. In contrast to conventional stone golems, the Ayaraigas Bone Walkers possess a remarkable agility and swiftness of movement.
