Crafted during the Lith-Crillion Era by earth elemental jewelers, the Eyes of Haud are magical eyeballs imbued with the spirit of a great hero who hunted the Sands of Hell. This hero, a native of Eydreid and former adventurer, was a master ranger and a striking 12-foot-tall giant of the Knudmid people. He roamed the sands, eliminating problematic predators for a fee. After narrowly surviving numerous close calls, he lost his vision twice - first to a flesh-rending sandstorm, and then in solo combat with a primordial sand worm. Weary of repeatedly seeking out healers and witch doctors, he turned to the Arcaneum of Eydreid for a more permanent solution. At this emerging school of arcane studies, trained by Lith-Crillion instructors, he was gifted a magical eyeball for each successful quest. The Eye Plucker, a specialized surgical device, accompanies these magical eyeballs, enabling the extraction of one eye and its replacement with an Eye of Haud, or the swapping of one Eye of Haud for another.
The Eyes of Haud possess a limitation wherein solely one can be utilized concurrently.
