Eydreid was the Knudmid's inaugural major settlement. Leveraging a storied legacy of construction and engineering, honed during the tumultuous conflicts of bygone eras, Eydreid was erected with the same rigorous standards that were applied in the erection of Bruh Gevul.

Situated in a region characterized by rugged spires and deep chasms, numerous areas within the city are connected by bridges and grand overpasses. A portion of the city's southern expanse lies buried beneath hills of sand, marking the edge of an uncommon desert known as the Sands of Hell.

Across Eydreid stand memorials honoring Covenant heroes of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE). Today, these sites serve as pilgrimage destinations for the most determined followers of Ares, Athena, Bahamut, Hades, Phalgas, and Ptah.

In 220 LE, the Lith-Crillion established a presence in the thriving town of Eydreid. Acting on orders from superiors stationed at the Pyramid of Life, they were charged with disassembling or demolishing the Cog Tower of Eydreid; an archaic primordial apparatus from the Creation War, engineered for undermining Creation.

The merchants of Eydreid were the first to establish a secure trade route traversing the sands into the Aerie of Dragons. Though a perilous crossing, the development of Sand Torts, necromantically animated tortoises, persists as safeguard against the desert winds and the dreaded primordial sand worms of the region.

In 311 LE, one of Eydreid's citizens, a deranged Knudmid named Hrodgridi, with plans of emancipation, set out to construct an army. Said to have been secretly granted to him by Geb, Hrodgridi utilized life energy and stone shaping sorcery, creating a novel troll species, the inaugural Crystalline Troll. Hrodgridi's ambition to liberate his people from Lith-Crillion influence was never realized. Succumbing to madness, Hrodgridi lived to witness only three generations of his race. Today, hundreds of Hrodgridi's crystalline trolls inhabit Eydreid's Citrine District.

The colossal city of Eydreid, originally constructed to accommodate a population of nearly 40,000 towering individuals, now lies in a state of disrepair. Commencing in 1011 LE with the onset of the Stone Curse, the city's population underwent a dramatic decline. Depopulated and too expansive to guard and sustain by a dwindling people, much of Eydreid has since succumbed to ruin.

The city of Eydreid boasts a substantial humanoid populace, numbering in the hundreds. Its denizens include merchants, farmers, and a significant criminal contingent, with gangs dispersed throughout the ruined urban landscape.
