This item is the literal right hand of Sakazrân Garbanâth. It was severed when he and the deity Geb annihilated the Sceptre of Phenul-Tamrâk.

In the year 1443, the artifact was destroyed near the heart of Barândîr. It is said that the primordial Geb assisted Sakazrân in this endeavor. When the item was destroyed, Geb sustained minor injuries, losing one of his fingers in the resulting blast. This finger was never recovered and likely remains lost in the icy expanses of the glacier. Sakazrân was also wounded, losing his hand, which was discovered years later by a foraging frost giant. The hand itself has become an artifact, known as the Hand of Sakazrân. The destruction of the Sceptre of Phenul-Tamrâk caused the glacier to expand by 300%, encroaching all the way into Hedrac. Over the next three decades, the temperature fluctuations and tumultuous conditions of Gulimbor began to return to normalcy.

The Sceptre of Phenul-Tamrâk has long been the subject of fascination and speculation within the annals of our realm's history This relic, imbued with profound arcane energies, has catalyzed numerous pivotal events that have shaped the very fabric of our civilization Its origins trace back to the dawn of the Age of Enlightenment, when the visionary mage Eldarion Moonshadow first harnessed its formidable powers Through meticulous research and painstaking ritual, Eldarion unlocked the sceptre's ability to channel the ebullient forces of the celestial spheres, revolutionizing the practice of thaumaturgy across our lands In the decades that followed, the Sceptre of Phenul-Tamrâk became a centerpiece of political intrigue, as rival factions vied for dominion over its mystical potential Tales abound of epic battles fought in its name, of alliances forged and broken, and of the rise and fall of mighty empires To this day, the sceptre's current whereabouts remain shrouded in mystery, sparking ongoing debates among scholars and enthusiasts alike

The hand is believed to have acquired magical properties through the convergence of energies from a mortal, a deity, and the destruction of an artifact. Some even suggest that the shattering of the Sceptre transferred a portion of its powers into the hand, imbuing it with a trace of malevolence. There is validity to this notion, as the loss of his hand caused Sakazrân to shed the last remnants of evil within him, shifting his alignment from lawful evil to lawful neutral. The Hand of Sakazrân now exhibits both of these alignments, periodically fluctuating between lawful neutral and lawful evil, compelling the owner to act in accordance with these polarities.

To employ this relic, a creature fastens the object to their hand, whereupon it transforms into ice and shatters, leaving the Hand of Sakazrân in its stead. This process inflicts excruciating pain, necessitating a successful system shock roll to avoid perishing. Once attached, the individual will sense a powerful presence within their form. The bearer will instantly feel bolstered and able to withstand far greater harm than usual.

Watroaches are favored companions among the insect necromancers serving in the armies of the sorcerer kings. Their substantial stature renders them optimal subjects to be vanquished, altered, then animated to execute the malevolence of their overlords.

Typically, an adult watroach is sought out in the desert, surrounded, and killed. A psionic kill is preferred, leaving the corpse unmarred for future construction. Once transported back to a city (usually on a large wagon pulled by two or more mekillots or driks), the watroach's carcass is prepared. The brain and viscera are removed, as is much of the honeycombed hive material. The drones are smoked out over large fires, and the dormant proto-adult is discarded. Usually, the top of the hive chamber is then opened, and a platform installed, with a variety of other individual weapons positions cut into all three body sections. Once finished, the beast is raised from the dead by templar magic. A typical undead war watroach has eight warriors in addition to its templar master.

In its undead state, the watroach retains the ability to move and combat as it did when living.

The Watroach, more commonly known as the war beetle, is a formidable insect-like creature that dwells in the deep forests and swamps These hardy beasts possess a thick, chitinous exoskeleton that provides exceptional protection from both physical and magical attacks Equipped with a pair of powerful mandibles, the Watroach is capable of delivering crushing blows to its prey or foes Additionally, these creatures can expel a noxious, acidic spray from specialized glands, adding a ranged attack to their arsenal While typically solitary hunters, Watroach will occasionally band together in small groups, making them an even more fearsome adversary Adventurers would be wise to exercise caution when venturing into the lair of these formidable insectoid warriors
