The Unausprechlin Kulten is an ancient tome, written long ago by a Durkoth mage named Kulten. It is a massive volume bound in the hide of an ancient black wyrm, soaked in the foul blood of a vrock, the scorching urine of a cornugon, the corrosive offal of a death slaad, the smoldering heart of a mezzoloth, sprinkled with the dust of one hundred wights, and secured with two bands of brass torn from the Royal Gates of the City of Brass.

The cover glistens with unsettling white runes that flicker beneath the moonlight. The colossal tome stands 12 inches high, 24 inches long, and 18 inches wide. Weighing 50 pounds, it is rumored to be impervious to the touch of any being of pure virtue, and a single strike from its malevolent pages is said to obliterate even the most righteous of good creatures.

The text encompasses the revered rites and invocations dedicated to the final Saints of Maen. Additionally, it contains spells intended for the summoning of abyssal fiends. The more nefarious rituals are rumored to evoke horrors from Zen'nêlkhush.

One of the most repugnant creatures of the seas is the Abomination of Nizgik. This entity was once a Durkoth, but endured a magical transformation that spiraled out of control. The beast now resembles a monstrous sea serpent with a vaguely Durkoth-like head. The sight of this grisly serpent is utterly horrifying, but the stench is something one can never erase from memory. It emanates the most putrid odor imaginable, searing the senses.

The Unausprechlin Kulten also provides a concise history of the worship of Sussgurd and Theegan on Osâchar. On this world, these humanoids venerated the Old Ones. Seeking to eliminate their influence over mortals, the Saints of Maen banished this race, consigning their vast cities to the depths of the sea. The Old Ones were sealed within their watery citadels, shadows of their former power, awaiting the day when something might free them. Some believe that these Old Ones cursed their imprisoners, for centuries later the Durkoth suffered the same fate as the Old Ones in the Durkoth Descent (995 HE - 1355 HE).

The book also contains cryptic rites for summoning Durkoth in stasis - many of these rites have astrological, seasonal, and meteorological prerequisites. One such ritual necessitates the Day of Bleakness, a time of complete darkness amidst a raging tempest of mayhem, whereupon ten by ten of the ancient masters will emerge from Zen'nêlkhush to carry out their summoner's directives.

The central portion of the text outlines various undead entities, detailing their vulnerabilities and capabilities. Additionally, it furnishes the necessary components for crafting a wand of conjuration and a bag of bones. Furthermore, the text encompasses an array of necromantic spells.
