Anaz is an otherworldly mountain transported to the realm of Bal-Kriav during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). Once a part of the distant moon of Bingatho, it arrived through the Anaz Rift alongside a primordial horror known as Bryakus.
Shaped like a volcano, Anaz frequently erupts, unleashing hot air, steam, and moisture. The verdant, out-of-place jungle of Goldarah, thriving in a temperate environment, is a result of Anaz's eruptions and the Anaz Rift within it. The majority of creatures inhabiting Anaz's slippery slopes and interior have passed through the rift from the distant moon Bingatho. Unable to return after coming through the rift, they find themselves trapped within Anaz and the surrounding jungle, unable to survive in the much cooler lands beyond.
The volume of water emanating from Anaz designates it as the source of the Kazdal River flowing southward, as well as the Turuk River flowing eastward.
