Eye of Poseidon

The massive whirlpool known as the Eye of Poseidon lies near the southern end of Kreroush bay. This formidable vortex was created by the deity Poseidon as a countermeasure against the expanding landmass of the Karnegmoth Brownlands. However, Poseidon's interference in mortal affairs resulted in censure, and The Balance decreed that the deity could not gain any additional divine power for twelve years.

The Eye of Poseidon measures twenty miles across and possesses such immense power as to draw the shorelines into its vortex - thereby preventing the mud and soil of the Brownlands from filling the Kreroush bay. Situated at the base of this maelstrom, one mile beneath the surface, lies an interdimensional rift that pulls objects through it and expels them far out in the deep, expansive waters of Mephigax.
