Built in proximity to the abundant adamantine deposits of Gul, the settlement of Agibandal was established by prospectors hailing from Razan. The city-state later became a stronghold for Primus cultists, with adamantine emerging as a highly coveted resource. In 1540 LE, Agibandal was seized by the forces of Akthol-Tharag.
Supplies and communication remained constantly endangered by the region's fey, transforming the 300+ mile subterranean route to Razan into significant thoroughfares dotted with their own modest settlements.
Agibandal successfully withstood assaults by the fey of Holentur, then the formidable Ethenoran Confederacy (1145 HE - 222). During periods of tranquility, they maintained a thriving trade relationship with their erstwhile adversaries.
They were long-standing allies of the Tinnanguth (340 - 817), technically a vassal state, yet free in every other respect. When Tinnanguth fell, Agibandal had to contend with Earthen who had long been enslaved. They resisted the Dao satraps during the Dao Civil War (817 - 840), and later became trading partners with the Rilirthad Empire; being a trading partner had always been a wise economic move for Agibandal, as it allowed them to access the distant markets of Akthol-Tharag.
In the year 1429, the fourth year of the Ivory Dao War, the city of Agibandal was seized by the armies of Rilirthad.
