Andurja is a vast subterranean jungle teeming with mushrooms, stalks, fungi, and other aspects of Fungals. The genesis of Andurja can be traced back to a post-war cleanup initiative. After Orcus was driven from the world during the Hoof Front (215 GE - 230 GE), the Covenant assigned a group to monitor the ruin Ghak and undertake the task of eliminating the abyssal energies permeating the caverns all the way to the Demons Ladder. The Covenant's leading botanist, Huemutril, entrusted the Myconids with the responsibility of cultivating a dense vegetation that would, in due course, cleanse the area that had once witnessed the passage of Orcus's demonic legions.
In Andurja's four hundredth year of maturity, it attained a remarkable fungal state due to its sheer mass, transforming into a colossal recycling engine. This remarkable process enabled the conversion of traces of abyssal energy into nature energy. The influx of this nature energy expedited the northward expansion of the forest towards the Demons Ladder.
Andurja is under the vigilant supervision of Boletus's esteemed myconid caretakers. Several of Boletus's venerable elders have borne witness to Andurja's humble beginnings, when it was but a modest garden situated north of a demon lord's ruined capital. Presently, Andurja spans an expansive four hundred miles, stretching from the walls of Ghak northward to the formidable Demons Ladder. In the year 1501 HE, Andurja's northward progression was brought to a standstill at this very juncture, a consequence of Boletus becoming embroiled in the contentious disputes of two neighboring city-states.
Venturing southward from the Demon Ladder, Andurja has organically expanded eastward, westward, and downward into other subterranean tiers, rendering it potentially the most expansive fungal growth on the world of Bal-Kriav.
The region of Andurja encompasses a diverse array of subterranean lifeforms, including various worms, giant slugs, and shriekers. The myconids also inhabit this area, with those residing in the southern portions generally less inclined to engage with the criminal syndicates of Boletus or pay reverence to the dark nature deity known as Melrith.
