Towering high from the dark waters of Maitimírë is the colossal stalactite known as Cairn Ascent, reaching up towards the underside of Athena's Daggers. During the tumultuous Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), the Covenant constructed a road ascending the stalactite to the surface. The Cerulean Road, starting from Maitimírë, spirals around Cairn Ascent, passing by numerous ancient fortifications and sealed portals. These heavily fortified entrances lead to the citadels of Phollûmâ, rumored to contain potent weapons and magical caches useful for combating the demonic forces.
