This fortified timber stronghold, erected during the First Epoch, has long served as the abode of hill giants, gnolls, hobgoblins, and trolls. These creatures have plagued the surrounding region for millennia. The fortress was constructed by a hill giant chieftain named Dalg-Stump, who claimed descent from one of Hettar's elite generals. Dalg-Stump became a figure of legend. Many came to believe his heroic tales of slaying dragons and stalling the expansionist ambitions of Kal-Oni and Paradomea. In the Second Epoch, the chieftain of Dalg, a descendant of Dalg-Stump, forged a non-aggression pact with Paradomea.
The bloodline of Dalg-Stump endures in his contentious sons, who are just as fearsome as their sire.
