The southeastern tip of the Malurn region is anchored by the massive Felân-Dûl structure, a feat of engineering that serves as a crucial defensive and industrial hub.
The Architecture of Felân-Dûl
This monolithic edifice is shaped like a giant maul, with a head measuring 400 feet in length and 280 feet in breadth, resting firmly on the earth.
- Composition: The head is constructed from blocks hewn from the Endless Wall, while the 360-foot haft is crafted from volcanic stone.
- Defensive Purpose: It was built during the Creation War by units under Danzar-Khâl to serve as a fortified anchor in a line spanning from the Vhurghad Region into Malurn.
Geothermal and Elemental Conversion
The area is central to the region's unique elemental cycle, acting as a terminal for the river Lyrmadis.
- Lava Transformation: At the northern Jetties, ocean water is transformed into rivulets of lava that form the Lyrmadis river.
- Energy Barrier: After flowing the length of the Felakgathar range, this molten river strikes a shimmering energy barrier at Felân-Dûl, where it is transformed back into seawater.
