The waterways of Hurg's Scar, flanked by formidable cliffs and expansive cave systems, some situated along the shoreline, were once untamed and remote during the Dawn Era. However, the establishment of Froglem, constructed by the 1st Bullwug Workers Legion, transformed the landscape. Froglem initially served as a recruitment hub for local laborers, eventually evolving into a supply base, marketplace, and thriving river port that supported the construction endeavors in the rugged highlands of Laat Viing.
In the reign of Mir'piamauza (526 HE - 1612 HE), the city of Froglem was perpetually engulfed in turmoil, enduring constant governmental upheaval and intervals of mob rule. It experienced extended eras of religious fanaticism, initially with Bullywug worship of slaadi lords and bloody sacrifices, then reverence for an ancient black dragon, and subsequently Graagvrii adherence to an undead cult dedicated to Orcus.
Froglem is renowned for its colossal bronze frog sculptures. Regrettably, some areas within the city remain in squalid conditions. With the escalating water table of Viing Qeth, much of this once-illustrious metropolis has become overgrown and partially submerged. Pockets of commercial activity and security persist as small enclaves, villages, and gangs.
