This sacred citadel is situated at the convergence of the Khilag-Tarkin and the Marrow Fields. Malacost constructed this formidable stronghold to safeguard this vital passageway into the Lands of Purity.
Gadyan boasts polished white and azure blue walls. Four grand towers rise majestically towards the east, facing Khilag-Tarkin. The colossal towers stand 200 feet tall and 150 feet in diameter. The impressive structures are intricately carved with intricate depictions of phoenixes and sacred symbols. Within the fortress, numerous ornate statues have been erected, each paying tribute to the valor and sacrifice of esteemed individuals who fought against the Black Tide of Thasmudyan. Every door in the castle is inscribed with an uplifting poem commemorating an event, be it a battle, an act of charity, or other noble deeds displayed during the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551). The most notable feature of Gadyan is the Phoenixes of Mercy, a monumental statue erected in honor of the phoenixes that soared over the final battle of the Athenian Crusade.
Gadyan is jointly occupied by military forces from the Malacost and the Divine Empire.
