Gunul-Birum is a diminutive volcano situated at the base of the Zurukthûr depression. During the God Era, a revived disembodied thinker named Ingu'lumin compelled an entire mountain through what later became known as Ingu'lumin's First Rift. This mountain was subsequently excavated with fiery entropic matter, transforming it into an artificial volcano. Shortly after the first, the second stage of Ingu'lumin's scheme was enacted. A second rift was then opened.
Ingu'lumin's understanding of The Weave fell far short of Sarseg 's expansive knowledge. He bore the consequence of witnessing his freshly created rift implode inwardly upon itself.
excerpt from the tome Izrukîn Sa Thir - "Acolyte of the Web"
When Ingu'lumin's Second Rift collapsed, it drew the majority of the mountain back into the realm of Chaos. This left behind a profound depression, which would subsequently be dubbed Zurukthûr. At the base of this five-mile-deep chasm lies the volcano Gunul-Birum, named by the Mîmêk. Towering a mile in height, Gunul-Birum's internal fires emanate from an entropic core that remains linked to the Chaotic realm.
