The northerly flowing river originates at the Mazgob swamp. Continuing north, the river passes the towering walls of Midrurgrune before entering the reverse-flowing Anzar Glacier. The river carves a natural tunnel through the ice, but assistance is required for the passage of ships. The ten-mile journey often necessitates stops to clear low-hanging ice, with the ever-present danger of falling ice shards. Once past the glacier, the river flows into the Guivre swamp and then merges with the wide waterways of the Famirótan river.
