Kapha-Lak is a vast highland lake situated north of Fros Idar. It serves as a crucial source of fish and mollusks for the quaint villages lining its picturesque shores.

Kapha-Lak is nourished by both natural and unnatural sources. The former includes mountain streams and small rivers, while the latter comprises the Witches Tears, hundreds of elemental motes of Water and earth floating across the lake. The water motes, akin to drifting pools and ponds, cascade over into grand waterfalls. The earth motes, in turn, are floating islands of vines and lush vegetation. The larger of these isles serve as the abodes of rocs, griffons, giant raptors, and the towers of some Theegan witch or other powerful individual.
