In the Tha'lith Front, demons accompanied by thousands of Tragaran slaves under the command of Graz'zt, constructed Gu'sax 12, also known as Fort 12, to secure the surrounding territories.
In the Tilnangau-Varelay War, this location was seized by Varelay. It was subsequently designated Mo'tzor, named after Aperoq's most trusted chronicler - one who perished for being somewhat too candid in his writings about his superior.
In the Varelay Upheaval (2608 LE - 16 HE), the water table experienced a significant shift, giving rise to Lake Styming. This event submerged the defile, the primary entrance, and the lower levels of the fortress. Consequently, the once-land-based stronghold transformed into an island fortress with submerged portions, becoming the new home of the Vedrii and Yuan-ti inhabitants.
When Malshirk'iss rose to power, Mo'tzor was seized from a Rikhirra conclave. All were slaughtered, but these naga were subsequently resurrected, becoming the bone naga command staff under Malshirk'iss.
