Omphuvax is a desert region located in the southern part of Voternil. This arid landscape was created during the Second Marwing War, when the Spirachiln Empire attempted to annex the area from the Kezgaer Confederacy. The goblins, kobolds, and other humanoids dwelling in the forests of Faehion, the Taurion valley, and the mine-pitted hills of Rulamirnur united to confront the superior invading forces. They also had to contend with the numerous fey creatures inhabiting the Tendrils, which were advancing southward from Marwing, a smaller forest contained within the vast Taurquion forest. To counter this dual threat, the defenders turned to Blighters and arcanists skilled in deforestation. The resulting devastation transformed the lush landscape into a desert, where only the most resilient plants can now take root, even centuries later.
