The arboreal expanse extending from the Taurquion Forest is known as the Tendrils of Taurquion, or simply the Tendrils. These woodlands are believed to harbor sentient plant life influenced by the Pyramid of Nature, the driving force behind the forest's rapid encroachment. Encompassing the growth of younger trees are dense foliage, vines, and predatory vegetation. The cultists of Cheldremn are credited with perpetuating the Tendrils' continued expansion.
They believe that untamed wilderness, with fierce creatures and lush, expansive forests, is what the angels of the Dawn Era envisioned for this world. This notion holds true for only one of the angels of that Era, and that was Silvanus. The Cheldremn are Silvanus revivalists and champions of the Principle of Unfettered Nature.

The proliferation of the Tendrils signifies impending encounters with the Angrods, their allies, and other ethereal beings. These sylvan entities leverage the Tendrils as staging grounds for assaults on adversarial neighbors, or to penalize (c.f. Year 1335 ) those attempting to impede the "natural" extension of the Taurquion. The Tendrils have encroached upon all adjacent regions bordering the High Wood Country.
The Tendrils produce dangerous side effects when aggressively manipulated by those controlling the Pyramid of Nature. Creatures like orcworts, red sundew, twig blights, and ghosts of the slain are some of these side effects. During the High Down War ( 1285 - 1304 ) , numerous deceased Drow were infested with spores and unusual plant growths, causing the corpses to reanimate and turn on their former allies. The Drow of Menortamon claim the High Down War was ultimately won by these spore-animated abominations.
The expansion of tendrils into an area is frequently referred to by the region it is encroaching upon, such as the Iruk Tendril of the Iruk Valley, the Tendril of Feyrise, the Tendril of Gambriath, and many others.
