Bordered by towering mountain ranges to the north and west, the vast, arid expanse of the Rukhs desert is the result of extraordinary otherworldly machinations.

A corrupted domain, contaminated with the barren soil from Ingu'lumin's failed endeavor. In another thousand years, the Rukhs may nurture a sapling.

Dalak-Ramal, revered Protector of the Clans' sacred lands, shared these solemn words at the esteemed Glade Summit - "Dead Soil" The Protector's eloquent address conveyed the gravity of the situation facing the fragile ecosystems under their guardianship

Rukhs was transformed into a desolate desert wasteland during the tumultuous Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE). This catastrophic event was the direct result of Ingu'lumin's First Rift and the cataclysmic volcanic eruption that followed. From the primordial realm of Chaos beyond the rift emerged a nameless mountain, later dubbed Gunul-Birum, which spewed forth ash and volatile entropic matter in a furious display. Polluted by these otherworldly forces, the surrounding area was desecrated, its precious nature energy irreparably drained away.

During the era of the Tarband-Khâl, extensive subterranean tunnels were constructed beneath this arid desert, extending all the way to the precipitous rim of Zurukthûr. Intricate roadways were carved deep into this colossal chasm, descending to the solidified lava fields that conceal precious gemstones and ores.

The soil in this region is a distinctive reddish-black hue, a product of alien contamination. This unique earth serves as a valuable component in the crafting of items associated with the practice of defiling magic. Regrettably, this resource is exceedingly rare and difficult to procure. Moreover, the desert landscape also harbors sizable deposits of a mineral known as Vumort, which can be utilized to imbue magical objects with the properties of Chaos.
