Sathulkazar is an expansive swamp situated to the west of Khirrêth. The swamp is sustained by streams cascading from the steep slopes of Izgarrêth and the recurrent flooding of the Rute. This river meanders through the swamp, infusing the wetlands with its frigid waters. Consequently, vast stretches of the northeastern region of these wetlands are shrouded in mist.
The swamp is a nightmarish realm, teeming with numerous Dragur undead, will-o-wisps, ghosts, hags, and rogue mummy lords of Set, who likely once served the Khazarkar Empire. The landscape is littered with the ruined fortresses and crypts of the Draguron. Some of these hold nothing more than beasts, while others have become the abode of diseased outcasts, escaped criminals, bandits, or possibly even a lich and its retinue of minions. The region is so perilous and treacherous to traverse that the Khazarkar Empire has constructed roads cutting south from Khirrêth and then westward into the heart of Cinazan.
