The ground of this desolate region has been seared, not from the surface, but from the volcanic activity thousands of feet below. The source of this intense heat is the Faeglor area near Taldrath. The earth of Skjald is cracked and fractured like parched soil. It steams and smokes from the turbulent geothermal activity beneath the surface.
The devoted followers of Geb often refer to this location as Geb's Spleen. They believe it was formed during the birth of Geb, an occurrence that also brought into existence Basskaff, Gurnskolf, and Geb's Innards.
