Smicker's Fjord is a deep channel situated between the islands of Hînad-Hloph and Kitho-Kir, collectively known as the Harpoon Sisters. The channel spans a width of one to three thousand feet and reaches a remarkable depth of nearly five hundred feet. While the northern end near Zerot is navigable with clarity, the southern portion was also considered safe to traverse during the heyday of Smicker's Lot.
Moving into the interior of the Harpoon Sisters through this channel can be a perilous journey for those not affiliated with the pirating groups asserting their claims in the region. Numerous perils lie in wait along the shorelines, within the Oyster Fens, and in the coves housing the encampments of pirates.
The channel was named after Captain Smicker, who and his band of pirates utilized the area as a base for three decades before choosing to settle down. He transformed his pirate town into a freehold, retaining the name Smicker's Lot. This settlement was constructed at the southern terminus of the channel. In 1448, it was overrun by T'kyr raiders and never reconstructed. At the opposite end of the channel lies Zerot, the capital of the League of Gyalech.
