Varorthin is a vast temperate forest bounded by mountains, hills, and the marshes of Drenvun. Known for its resilient hardwoods and fey faerie dust, during the Lith-Crillion Era, the merchants of Khimilêth forged a cooperative relationship with the region's sprites. Due to the ritual culling of male sprites, which was believed to please Silvanus, the sprite population found itself in need of male companions. In exchange, the sprites provided faerie dust and techniques for making Varorthin's finest woods resistant to the ravages of the seas, worms, rot, and salt.
