Early in the Horgon Era, a Fire Troll named Vuzara discovered an ancient dragon orb of immense power, the Zuwuth Uv Enkii. Using this artifact on a nearby mountain, she magically transformed it into an active volcano. Since that fateful event, Vuzara's Oven has remained an active volcano. Situated in the icy range of Fros Idar, its lava tubes descend into the dark reaches of Olvagny, traversing the waters of the Heliotrope Sea to fiery regions deep below.

From her volcanic lair, Vuzara presided as a ruthless tyrant. As her lifespan neared its end, Vuzara sacrificed her life energy to transform into a Lich. As an undead being, she reigned for over three centuries (62 HE - 392 HE). Her minions consisted primarily of fire trolls and gnolls, as well as a few red dragons subjugated by her sinister dragon orb.

In 392 HE, Vuzara's six-century reign concluded amid a flurry of blows from a stone giant master monk named Grazafar. Following Vuzara's downfall, her horde dispersed. While other powers rose and fell over the centuries, none were as ominous as the reign of the lich Vuzara.

The exterior of the volcano is peppered with the remnants of Vuzara's extensive rule, including grandiose palatial baths with functioning steam pools, as well as ancient towers and fortresses that have become havens for beasts, thieves, and more sinister entities. The interior of the volcano, a labyrinth of corridors and chambers, is equally perilous. Constructed through the forced labor of enslaved hill and stone giants, these expansive subterranean complexes pose a formidable challenge.

Some of the corridors traversing Vuzara's Forge are trade routes connecting the surface with the shadowed realms below. The safer passages are those utilized by the Gnemdos Trade Network, while others descend into the depths of Phangul, leading to pirate strongholds along the Heliotrope Sea and more civilized destinations like Dienkigec.
